Positioning Infrastructure
The Positioning Infrastructure of Hong Kong is established and maintained by Lands Department in order to provide accurate and reliable horizontal and vertical position reference data and services for mapping, land boundary survey, land administration, town planning, civil engineering, infrastructure development, navigation, rescue and searching, etc.
The Positioning Infrastructure comprises the following:
- Geodetic Survey Control Network
- Hong Kong Satellite Positioning Reference Station Network
- Survey Instrument Calibration Baselines and Sites
- Indoor Positioning
